We're serious
about safety!

A first-aid kit is located in the Weaving/Book Arts Studio and the Printmaking Studio. These are in central locations so that they can be shared between studios. Eyewash stations are located in both the Printmaking Studio and the Darkroom. A flammable cabinet is located in the Printmaking Studio. Fire Extinguishers and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) binders are located in each studio. Ventilation systems are found in the Printmaking Studio, Darkroom, and Jewelry Studio. There will be a walkthrough on your first day to introduce you to the space and show you the safety equipment. Flameproof cans are provided to collect hazardous waste such as rags used with mineral spirits or other solvents. Also provided will be nitrile gloves (small, medium, and large), safety glasses, and single-use dust masks. Please bring your own respirators. Remember to bring any additional safety equipment with you that will be needed during your stay. We do have local hardware stores to purchase from if you forget anything.
